I don't think it was made to be permanently disabled. It is not uncommon to have safety features like this.It is a Pita but we have to live with it.
Pull the fuse outI hate the rear parking assist where it beeps at you and then stops the car if it senses cars coming while backing up. Well sometimes it just goes off and stops me randomly and other times when I back out of my driveway itll stop me because a car is coming the opposite direction where I have no chance of hitting them.
Anyway when I disable it in settings it just resets itself when I restart the car, anyone know of a way to permanently turn this off?
Call the service department and ask themYes but I cannot locate it.It does not show anything in the manual would suspect Kia does not want people to disable it since it is a safety feature.I wouldn't doubt the dealer would know since they are the ones who may have to replace the sensors.
