Does anyone know how to select "categories" in sirrus/xm using the new purple interface? I can't find a way to sort through "sports", "news" "comedy" anymore! What am I missing?

I'll look again but not sure this can be done....? With the latest interface, my big gripe is the station name/number are in different places on the screen which is different than the old setup....

My two cents is, I'm dumping satellite radio, cause there are way to many interruptions on my ride to work everyday and getting worse. It's not mountains, or power lines or trees and bridges, but nothing to be seen yet reception is crappy. I can't enjoy news weather and sports.. uhg. They tried to help but no change. Good bye Sirius...
I'm glad someone asked this question... I could see how this could be helpful to see if new stations have been added to a category your are interested in, or what to offer a 'choice' to a passenger, etc. (BTW - I've had no reception problems in Colorado...but that would be a deal breaker! We also have HD FM radio in Denver, and the Seltos picks that up great here an hour north of Denver).

Re Sirius and "categories of stations" and what is currently playing on your presets in the latest s/w -
  • tap the menu button at the top of a Sirius station - pic 1
  • tap Channel List - pic 2
  • Mine seemed to default to "Prioritize Presets" but it seemed to show all stations?... - pic 3.
  • But the trick is to tap on the 'up folder' icon - pic 3 again. That shows the categories - can scroll up and down as shown in pic 4.
  • Tap on the categories to see the channels in that category - pic 5.
  • One other nice feature from the menu is displaying what show is currently playing (and what will be playing) on each of your presets - pic 6 and 7.
Don't forget if you have a Sirius subscription, you can play all of it thru your phone on the Sirius app, use it via Bluetooth, etc.
