For those who change their own oil - what are you using in your Seltos 2.0L MPI engine ? I believe this engine (non - turbo) can use 5W20 , 5W30 or 10W30 (depending on outside temps engine protection range) .

In all my vehicles (two, three and four wheeled) I run Shell ROTELLA T6. And it goes on sale all the time.

That being said, I do a "flush", "rinse" or "washing" with Marvel's mystery oil about 10 to 50 miles before I changed the oil. And between the two I've never seen any real build up of carbon/oil burn anywhere.
2021 Seltos owners manual for the 2.0L engine allows 5W20 , 5W30 & 10W30 oil choices . I went with Mobil 1 5W30 for the Georgia summer along with a Fram Tough Guard oil filter (good for 15,000 miles) . The oil drain plug requires a 17mm socket and the openings in the skid plate for the oil drain plug and oil filter access makes it a very easy operation for the DIY'er who is equipped to do oil changes . I will run the above combination for 5,000 miles / 6 months (which ever comes first) . The Kia 2.0L engine appears to be very easy on oil and runs smooth ! *Interesting to note that the 2022 Seltos owners manual recommends only 0W20 for the 2.0L engine for all seasons .
engine flushing will be too much considering modern oil already has higher level of cleaner already? any full synthetic 5w20 with OEM filter [$6-$9] with 10k interval will be more than sufficient. 0w20 will also work for NA climate. matter a fact, I ran 0w-20 on 2010 Soul for first 100k without an issue nor requiring additional oil between 10k interval. Lexus recommended 0w-20 for improving MPG over 10 years ago and that is what I had used on Soul without an issue.
I find it interesting that the manual indicates 0W-20 for the 2.0L, but the oil filler cap shows 5W-20.

Shoulda gone with the 10-30 for the hot summer driving.
