2022 Seltos SX (1.6L Turbo engine) weird sound after shutdown the car

Hi everyone,

I bought 2022 Seltos SX Turbo in US about 2 weeks ago and noticed from day 1st that after I turned off the car (presses the round ignition button) I always hear some the weird sounds follow, hard to say but it's like low-frequency beeping sound and followed by a loud "click click click" before it becomes totally silence. The whole process take about 10 - 15 seconds. Is this normal or an engine's problem? Do I need to contact the dealer for this? Please let me know.

Thank you very much.

There is a cooling down process that begins of the turbo after you shut the car off.It acts similar to a fan.I have owned several non Kia turbo cars that do the same.Lift the hood while this is happening and you can rally hear it.The dealer of one of my cars told me it was absolutely normal.Remember, turbos run very hot (up to 600 degrees F) and they are continually oiled to prevent damage from overheating.Take it to the dealer to confirm!
