No Kia dealer close. Went to a quick lube but they do not know how to reset the oil monitor to get the maintenance off the screen. As a novice, would someone please put step by step directions how to reset the oil monitor for the next service and get the oil maintenance off the screen.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that user resetting of that has to be enabled at the dealer. I vaguely remember hearing it can be done though. Once enabled, it's just a menu option I believe.

3 Years and 88,000 miles later this is still one I cannot figure out. I just double check before leaving the dealer. They usually have to connect a tablet via the OBD port and reset. Have watched them change setting to Owner enabled and still doesn't work.

Funny. It worked when they did it for me, but now I can't find under which menu it is to be found. I've been round and round in circles, looking in all the menus that appear logical, but nyet. Can't find it. I know it's there somewhere. Anyone know which menu to find it in..?

Thanks Speed - I'm a dolt. I figured 'setup', and then 'vehicle', as that made sense, then I must have mentally eliminated all the options under that as not relevant, because I knew what each did, and just figured it wouldn't be 'cluster'..! For some reason I must have just decided, "nah, wouldn't possibly be in that option," and so I kept going round in circles. :geek::eek:

Came to the bottom of the situation today. My salesman had me talk to guy in service who thought he could help me get through the process but finally talked to another person who cleared up the situation. The 2023 Seltos SX which I have comes from the factory locked. Service at Kia does the changes on their Kia Pad and they have to unlock it for it to be changed by the owner.

Correct. I had to have it unlocked the first time. Just that it was done so long ago I had forgotten how to find my way to it. Now you have a beautiful example, thanks to Speed's pics, so you can do it from here on yourself if necessary.
