2024 Seltos supposed to have 195hp vs the 165hp on last year's model. Same displacement, anyone know what improved? Tbh my '23 has felt like more than 165 (could be the 7-speed dct) so maybe there are different tunes?

Timing, fuel maps, boost…any number of tweaks can make those kind of jumps with turbo motors. My concern would be that they’re pushing it into territory where you might start requiring premium gas…which would suck.

The 21-22-23 models have 175hp with 195lb of torque, which really makes it feel peppy off the line especially with the DCT. The turbo gives it a solid kick while already at higher speeds.
The same engine is tuned up to 201hp in some vehicles.
