ignore them. coolant doesnt need to be replaced til like 100,000 miles
As others have said - ignore and find a new dealer. Something definitely sounds wrong. Here in Australia, Kia run a fixed price servicing schedule as part of the sale appeal, along with 7 year warranty. They will show you in advance exactly what is recommended by Kia, and the price, before you even hand them the keys. The costs are very fair and reasonable. My recent 30,000km service coat just $Aus346.00. If tyre wear appear even, and the car tracks true, then, I agree, an alignment is also probably unnecessary. So I brought my 21 S for the 30,000 mile service and they came back with these suggestions and a $750 estimate:
Needs Immediate attention:
Alignment - Goes straight down the road with no hands on the wheel
Due to Time & Mileage:
brake fluid exchange
A/C drain and evaporator cleaning
Engine flush
Fuel injection cleaning
I don't see where in the maintenance manual the above time and mileage requirements, are those listed somewhere?
I'm doing the engine flush, but the others I declined for now.
