Anybody else get the SC242 Update Notice?

I received this in today's (snail) mail. Not a recall, but a Voluntary Service Campaign. SC242 2.0L AWD ECU S/W LOGIC UPDATE

Apparently it has to do with the transfer case oil seal and an AWD ECU software update. Supposedly affects certain 2021-2023 Seltos with the 2.0L engine. That would be me.

Bummer. Guess I'd better make an appointment.

I got that. Was about to schedule my 22500 service anyways, added the recall to the appointment. Going in Saturday morning.
I kind of wish they'd give us a VIN range. Especially since they say affects certain 2021-2023 Seltos with the 2.0L engine. I'd hate to spend a lot of time in the service department only to find out "Yours wasn't affected."

Check with your VIN number online at either ntsa.gov/recalls or on vincheck.info
The thing is, it's not a recall but a Voluntary Service Campaign, so it's not listed under any recalls.
Got it via snail mail as well. Here in Memphis, it's a long wait to even get into any of our two Kia dealership service centers...my appointment is three weeks out.
Had mine done. They kept the warranty receipt but I quickly saw it and they replaced some gasket and updated something on the computer.
Just got back from getting mine done. In and out in 20 minutes. Repair order shows: performed sc242ard ecu s/w update. latest rom id d507v15sp2. Shows that they also did a Multi Point Inspection. (y)
This is a mess. On the Kia owner's website, it showed ONE "service campaign" (SC242), no recalls. When I called the dealership, they informed me there were THREE service campaigns. I then received a letter, stating there was ONE "service campaign" (again, SC242). The dealership refused to tell me anything about any of them, other than "software updates". They also told me "service campaigns" were never handled by mail, only recalls, and I had to check the company website to find out about the service campaigns. No explanation on why 2 of the 3 never showed on the website. Upon contacting the company, they started saying "SC242" was a RECALL, despite the letter and website saying "service campaign". They said that is why I got the letter (which, again, called it a service campaign, NOT recall). The company is also refusing to tell me exactly what was done to my car, after getting all 3 issues worked on, and also refusing to give me an explanation on how I'm supposed to find out about service campaigns that might happen in the future, since the other two have not shown up anywhere. So what I've learned from this mess - if you get a letter, consider it a RECALL, even though it will probably say "service campaign". And as of now, the only way to find out about actual, non-recall service campaigns, is to call the dealership and ask if there are any for your car. As of today, the work done on my car is not showing up on the Kia owner's website as having been done.

Additional tidbit - I went directly to the NHTSA gov site to check for recalls. When inputting my VIN, it shows no recalls, BUT indicates a recall WON'T show up if it's been fixed. It only will show OPEN recalls. Since mine was fixed, I can understand. You can also check by specific year and model - and it does show TWO recalls for a 2021 Kia Seltos (mine) - 1 for AWD, 1 for FWD.
Just got my AWD firmware update today. No 0-20W oil caps in stock so I have to wait and come back for that one. Not sure how the rest of your Kia dealerships are but here in Memphis, TN...service appointment scheduling averages about a month's wait...yep.
