I just bought a '22 Kia Seltos and it only has 200 mikes on it now. While driving home 150 miles I noticed that the blind spot lights on the mirrors rarely lit up and now driving in town I didnt notice them at all. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I just feel like it should light up more. My 2017 Chevy Cruze would light up all the time when a vehicle was near and my Seltos seems to rarely light up. Thanks in advance!

Hello, mine seem to work fine. Maybe too much. They don't turn off until I am way past a vehicle I have passed. Maybe have your dealer check?

Go through all the Setup menu options. You will find it there and configure it to your preference. RT...M.

I have been through all the settings and it is turned on as it should be. I may have to find a closer dealer to bring it to since I bought it 2 and half hours away.
Well, maybe a software update will fix the blind spot monitoring issue. Last month, the voice recognition system of my 2021 SX stopped working. The dealer service updated the head unit with the latest software and that fixed the problem. I can talk to my SXT again. Good thing about software update is you can do it yourself. You can go to update.kia.com and download the update for your vehicle. You have to follow the instruction exactly as it says.

Thanks for the tip I didnt know I could update the software myself! Im interested in looking into this because I dont think my '22 SX has the June update yet!
Well, I’m not actually sure what version is available to vehicle owners at update.kia.com but my June 2021 software was downloaded and installed by the dealer service. Remember to follow the instructions in the vehicle update process if you are going to update it yourself.

BTW, what is the date of your current software?

I just visited update.kia.com and there is an Audio update released August 11, 2021. This may fix your issue.

Also read the manual closely, there are some restrictions on speed when it will and will not work - if that is part of the problem. During the daytime, you have to look closer for the mirror indication than I'd like. So turn up the volume for the beep alert and it will clearly let you know it's working, that is a big help. Also you can test it in traffic without actually changing lanes if you put a turn signal on for a few seconds only, then turn off.
