Hello new to the site so greetings to all.............

We just bought a 2022 Seltos SX Turbo Snow White Pearl w/Plum Interior Color package, so far we really like it.

On a down side when looking for caliper covers A BIG ZERO!!!!!!!! Searched and searched the net and no one has them for this car. What I’m finding out it seems the clearance I guess from the caliper and the wheel there's not enough room, because I can’t find any MPG said NO not for that vehicle and I do not want to paint them. I did see on a pop up add on my Facebook a company had ones that I believe used like a double faced tape if I read it correctly not sure If I’d trust that but that being said I wrote to see if they had them for this vehicle / model but no response and I don’t seem to be able to find the add anymore. Very sad and disappointed since I think red calipers would really stand out nice to an already good looking car.

Cheers

The Seltos is a new vehicle on the market.Give it time.I would not use the double sided tape covers.MPG are very good but pricey as I have used them before. They fit tight to the caliper so clearance is not a factor.

Many thanks yeah I was just hoping due to the fact it is new, so we will keep our fingers crossed and keep a look out for them.

I have the same pearl white SX turbo with the plum interior. Love the look, and also want red calipers. I, though, have opted for painting mine. I know you don’t want to and I’m not arguing that at all… it’s 100% your choice… and a popular one, I might add! 🙂

I work in an car dealership’s used car reconditioning division. We inspect and repair trades, auction purchases, and every other vehicle we acquire before they go up for sale on our used lot. Many of these vehicles come in with caliper covers installed. While they look decent at a distance, when you get close they look beat up. Over time, most of them rub on the inside of the wheel scratching both the cover and the wheel. I’ve seen it cause corrosion on the inside of a set of Corvette wheels. It’s rare when we see a good set, but they do come through. Just make sure you get a good brand and they clear your wheels well. And… recheck them periodically so they don’t loosen up.

Best of luck with your Seltos!

How did you paint them what kind of paint did you use? You stated you work at a dealer so i'm sure you very good around cars, I on the other hand wash em, fuel em that is pretty much the safe extent that i would venture I have a shop that does the oil changes and anything more than that.

Thanks

There is a paint made specifically for calipers. The best way to paint them is to take the wheel off and clean the caliper with brake cleaner and give them a good rub down.Use a small 1" brush to paint them. The paint is quite different and it films quick so you have to move along with it.

Although I haven't painted my Seltos' calipers yet, I have painted them on 2 other vehicles (my previous 2016 Chevrolet Cruze & my girl's 2016 Mazda CX-5). As videoguy009 states, there is a paint specifically for calipers. I've used the product made by G2. They sell kits on Amazon with everything needed (paint, activator, brake cleaner, small applicator brush, etc). The only thing you might need is a small wire brush to get any stubborn brake dust or dirt off the calipers. With a new vehicle, that may not be a huge concern, but I'd definitely recommend going over them lightly with the brush, then using the brake cleaner spray to leave a clean, paintable surface.

More info on the process can be found on their website: G2 Brake Caliper Paint Systems

I tried with CCI, theirs are magnetic, but also had the issue with clearance. They require a minimum of 1/2", which mine doesn't have. The other option is to get wheel spacers to bring that wheel out another 1/2" or so.

I am sure it's going to be a long time before they are available. Why are you against painting them? I ordered the kit from Amazon and it seems like a fairly easy thing to do. I haven't found the time to get it done, but plan on it soon.

Not really against it, I just am not able to do it plus reading many reviews etc about it seems like it's a one time job ie: you need to have all four wheels off all set to go then do them all one after the other from how I read it, also watched a few YouTube videos and was the same guess after you mix it it sets up quick. So I feel it's to big of a job foe me, but if they made covers coworker has a shop he uses that could install those. That is reall only reason i was against it.
