I ordered my Kia soltes on April 4 I got the nightfall edition white and black. I recently reached out to the dealership and said it will be a 2023 and should be picked up by Kia in the next few weeks . It’s been about two weeks. Now what should I expect ? And how does that work. I heard d the dealerships are only allowed to submit so many orders at one time

They originally told me 3-6 months Our friends ordered a Chevy equinox a few weeks after me and she got hers yesterday. Is it just Kia that the wait is so extended? Being over seas ?

Yeah!
Pics or it never happened!
Haha pics will come soon! Absolutely love the vehicle. Everything about it is a huge upgrade and the car is beautiful - especially with the burgundy interior.

Ive already installed the tux mats (look great) got the 10 year undercoat (salty roads!) And have just booked a 5yr ceramic coat. Maybe I'll post the pics after I get the ceramic coat on there ;)

@Stuckita Could you comment on cost of things like the undercoat and ceramic. I did look into the Ceramic but seemed cost inhibitive. Maybe I should check somewhere else. Or is this done through your dealer?

Sure!

-The tux mats front, rear, trunk came to: 445 CAD tax in
-ten year rust (dealer snuck this in but I was planning on under coating annually): $1099 CAD
-ceramic (5 yr): $1000-1250 CAD

You're right.. it is a little pricey. But I am big into mountain biking which takes me through lots of sub par conditions so figured it would be worth the investment. That and I hear Kia paint is not great. I want to make it shine for a while.

Don't want to bust anyone's bubble, but dealer applied ceramic coats like Diamond Kote are a rip-off. It's just a way for the dealer to make some extra $$$, your vehicle's factory clear coat is more than adequate paint protection.
Many, many, many moons ago when I sold for Honda I recall selling a guy a new Prelude with "Diamond Kote paint protection" for something around $500 extra (this was back in 1987). The bottle of product cost about $25 and I put it on myself instead of letting the shop do it...you do the math on the profit margin...

I'd take it to a local detail shop that specializes in polishing and paint protection and see if you can't get that a lot cheaper...

Edit: My dealer put what they call a "prairie package" which apparently they pre-install on all vehicles they sell. That included all weather mats (not the cargo mat though), premium block heater, mud flaps, undercoat, AND Diamond Kote sealant...all for $1500.

Yeah I wouldn't of gotten the rust under coating from the dealer if it wasn't already applied! The ceramic coat is from a speciality detail shop. I believe product being used is ceramic pro. I called around to about 7 different shops and prices range from 1k-2.9k for the 5 yr.

How are you finding the paint? My girlfriend actually already put a tiny scratch in it about the length of a quarter that went right through the paint. We're picking up a paint pen and repairing before putting the ceramic coat on.

Haven’t noticed any issues with the paint, I do love the colour of this metallic grey. Mind you, I guess I do have the diamond kote on there for what it’s worth…lol.

actually, that was another thing my dealer threw in was a touch up paint pen…

Yes my paint has the same reflections in the sun! Not that there has been much since we got it haha. I'm looking forward to the spending to stop to be honest. After protection, hitch, cross bars, and new racks...$$$..

I hear you...I still have to buy a set of silicone wiper blades for winter (the factory ones are crap) and replace the tires with a set of all-weather ones.
Hopefully that should be the end of improvement$
I was thinking about buying the cargo mat, but I keep telling myself "it's a lease, just chillax..." lol

Ordered mine about a week after you. SX in anything but white or black. No interior preference. The original delivery expectation was said to be Fall (August September), within a few weeks it was changed to Winter (November December) and when I called with a question last week he told me Q1 2023 (January February March). Not going as well up here in Canada.

Yeah I heard from my dealer it's minimum 6 to 8 months for anything that was ordered after mid May
