I bought my 2022 seltos nightfall in July of 2021, the $4,000 dollar package was not able to be taken off the sticker price for the protection package.

it should include
Paint & fabric treatment
Lifetime service car washes
Mud guards
Full tank of gas
Full detail
Wheel locks.
So far I have not found a dealer that will honor the lifetime service or car washes.
I just paid $63 for the first oil change that will be done from me from now on.

mid anyone had a general KIA servicephone number that is not associated with a dealer I would love to contact them to hash this out.

That's the way for that detail to hide their markup. It very clearly says service car washes (which are usually included everywhere anyway) - so it is not lifetime service - simply they will wash your car for free when you take it in for service. You got hosed, plain and simple.

You will not find just any dealer that honors that car wash. That is specific to the dealer who charged for the add-ons. My dealer does not include add ons but does offer lifetime washes at his dealership. Like I mentioned, it's a specific dealer thing and not a Kia thing. So, only that dealer will wash the car for free

As far as contacting a general service number: Nothing will happen. The dealer chooses to add stuff to the car or not. It is NOT a Kia policy or suggestion. It is a dealer decision. Some dealers in my area add stuff and some don't.

I was lucky to find a dealer not too far from me that was selling for exactly MSRP. I had to wait a few months but it was worth it not to pay what many dealers are calling a "market adjustment" of $500 to $6000. This is the range of markup that I found calling several dealers. Your window sticker looks like it was altered by the dealer to add the 4k package so I would think only that dealer would honor it. And I would waste no time giving them a 1 star review everywhere I could. Sorry, not too helpful for getting the washes.

Luckily I have a large family name in a small town with the dealer, in fact the sales manager has worked for my dad in the past. The word will spread and sales will be affected.
the dealer has already lost a sale because my brother went to buy a vehicle and decided not to when they would not remove the dealer package and he went to another dealer and bought a vehicle.

Oldest ripoff tactic in the book. Spread the word with everyone you know. Park the thing in front of the dealership (on a PUBLIC street) with large signs describing what they did. File a formal complaint with BBB. Make their life pure hell until they refund the money they stole from you. I was so fortunate with mine. Bought the first one off the truck to the dealer, and it was exactly what I wanted. An SX in that weird yellow-green color. We did the entire negotiation over the phone the day they drove it off the truck, they serviced it, and I drove up (100 miles away) the next morning to get it. No mark up or "pack" as the dealers call it, the factory sticker price was $29,500 and I paid $26,900 for it. I drove it to the local Kia dealer who is a prick like yours, let him look at the sticker then told him what I paid. Needless to say it doesn't go the the local asshat for service!

It turns out they did give me a warranty packet for the fabric protection. It’s a third party contract that if the company cannot remove a stain then they will replace that section of fabric. The mud guards and the wheel locks were installed as well.
The fabric contract is $1200 through the third party, though I doubt that is what Kia paid.
I will say I was still ripped off by about $2000-$2500. I guess that’s the price for supply and demand right now though.

I’m pretty sure wheel locks and mudguards are actually included from factory on the SX model …
Actually they're not. But still no excuse for the thief dealer to pack them onto the sticker sheet. Any dealer who marks up a factory sticker sheet to increase profit is a dishonest crook who should have their franchise revoked.

They made me buy a Lojack. Then when the car had an electrical problem and I took it to a different dealer, they said I had some sort of aftermarket device installed and that was probably the issue. I had them call the dealer I purchased it from to prove it wasn't me. The bottom line is that there isn't any reason for a Lojack since the car has a built in find my car function in the app.

Car dealers and car salespeople are essentially scum who are unable to make a living honestly. There are very few exceptions. I was in the business for over a year before I figured that out and ran away from it as fast and far as I could.
