On three other occasions I've experience Emerg. Break indicator Light is lit. I put the card in gear and drives fine. When I pulled over I engaged the break button and then turned it off. Still the EM break indicator is still lit. I then turned off the car and turned it back on and the indicator light isn't Lit anymore. The one characteristic of this is that the car was sitting there in very hot sun all day. I believe that has something to do with it.
Has anyone else have this issue??
UPDATE!
KIA dealer service looked at the Emergency Break light. after about an hour in service. They came to me and stated that they May have found another problem, the VACUUM Pump had oil leaked into it. They weren't sure if this was the problem, or two separate issues. They could not release the car to me because it was dangerous condition. When they replaced the fuse to the Emergency break, it immediately Popped. They needed to order a NEW Vacuum Pump, which will take a week and I'll be without the car for at least that time. They provided me with a loaner.
Has Anyone Else had this issue either with the VACCUM PUMP or Emergency Break?
