Here in Wisconsin the law states we’re supposed to have a front license plate on at all times. My Seltos SX didn’t come with one, so the dealer agreed to order one for me.

When the dealer received the order from Kia it’s simply a couple screws to mount the plate directly to the bumper. I’m definitely not a fan of that idea. Has anyone been able to get a front bracket for our vehicles? Or, are we expected to just slap on a bare plate?

Good to know that works. I’m trying to avoid screwing directly into the bumper if possible. Currently researching tow hook hole mounts a la the Subaru world.

I just used the holes that were already on the front bumper of mine. Just a bigger screw.

If there were already holes in mine, I’d probably do that, too. Picked mine up new on 6/29 with no holes in her yet, so I’m trying to avoid it.

Hey! New to the forum. I was just wondering if you found a solution to this problem? I pick my new Seltos up on 8/13 and Im not sure how I want to attach the front plate. I was thinking of using the plate bracket that was posted above with 3M Automotive Exterior double sided tape.

I'm still taking my chances and running without the front license plate. I've done some looking for a tow hook mount online, but with the Seltos being a newer model, I haven't had any luck finding one made specifically for it. I've found them for the Soul, but I'm not sure if the length would be correct for the Seltos (don't want it to stand too far off from the bumper, or be too short).

If I find something that works, I'll update the thread with a link to it.

Oh... yes the Seltos has small, removable panel on the passenger side of the front bumper and there's a hook with the jack tools in the stowage area.

Im glad I could possibly help with this issue! I hope it works out because a lot of people are looking for a solution! I also did some research and if Im correct the tow hook for the 2021 Kia Seltos is the same size as the 2020-2021 Kia Soul so this one may work too but its a little expensive.

The bracket is ordered and will be here tomorrow. My Seltos is SUPPOSED to be here on 8/13. I will keep everyone posted!

I just wanted to update a little. My new Seltos has been pushed out till 8/19. Also I found a review of the tow hook mount above that said "Fits my 2021 Kia Seltos SX Great!" So that makes it even more promising but it also said it had to be modified a little so keep that in mind. It looks like my other post will never be approved by modifiers so I will just repeat it again. I found another tow hook mount for a 2020-2021 Kia Soul. After some research the Seltos' replacement tow hook is the same part as the 2020-2021 Kia Soul so in theory it should also fit our vehicle but its more expensive and may not fit. I hope this helps some of you out there.

I don't understand why it is a such a big deal. It's only a couple of small holes in the bumper. However, purchase the the mount and if it doesn't fit, send it back.

Well my new car arrived today! I put the bracket on and it works great with very little modification! Also the pics dont do it justice but it doesnt stick out too far from the bumper either!

A lot of reviews on amazon said that it wasnt sturdy but they must have installed it incorrectly. It is very sturdy to the point where I could pull on it with force and it didnt budge. Others reviews said it wasnt sturdy enough to survive a carwash but I think it would do just fine! Im very happy with it!

Well, I finally did it!

Used the longest rod and cut about 2 inches off to make it fit nicely. It is definitely sturdy!
