Hi all. I'm on Bribie Island, a community just north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I bought a Seltos GT-Line in December 2019, and am very happy with it. It appears to do everything just as it should. I bought the top model so it had all the bells and whistles, especially the safety features. Although the things I love the most actually are the head up display and the Smart Radar Cruise, which our previous car, a Subaru Outback, lacked.

To give some idea of the driving background experience I am judging this vehicle against, I have driven a lot of both manual and autos, and previous cars have been Chrysler Hemi Valiant, Cordia Turbo, XD Falcom Fairmont Ghia, Corolla GT, Celica GT4, (Rally version), and the Outback (6cyl Premium Pack) mentioned.

I've put up a few posts elsewhere already, some on somewhat old threads, because I am fascinated by the differences between the same model in different countries, not only in name, but specs and features as well.

Cheers, Pete

from the outside, the GT-line looks like it corresponds pretty much on par with our SX.

I really do love the car and it's features as well, and it has become one of my favourites, although my old Audi(s) still holds top spot for sheer driving pleasure...

Yeah. Different kind of car entirely. I’m the same. I drove a Celica GT4 full time AWD TURBO Rally version for 28 years I loved it so much. I also loved my brother’s Audi A3, and his VW GTi. Then the Outback sold me on the slightly higher seating and ease of entry/exit, and of course the AWD, BUT it was quite thirsty. So, enter Seltos. Still higher than sedans, still AWD and turbo, but way more economical. The price we now pay for what you call gas, and we call petrol, being what it is, fluctuating between $1.98 and $2.30 per litre, economical is good.
what is gas per litre there..? I believe Canada has gone metric for these things now, unlike the USA…?

Yes, we do measurements properly as well…lol
It varies across the country of course, but here in Saskatoon, SK we’re paying CDN $1.65/litre (as of yesterday, but it does vary across the province) which converts to around $1.89 AUS.

PS…no need to translate on Brit terms…lol, my wife is from England…I’ve been listening to “boot” and “bonnet” for years…you know…trunk and hood…😂
