Hello all. I have a brand-new 2022 Kia Seltos SX and all of the sudden, the physical buttons on the head unit and left side of the steering wheel no longer work. The screen functions perfectly - car play, rear-view camera, etc., but the physical buttons don't work.

I tried a pin-hole reset to no avail. Any insight anyone can offer? I have an appointment with a Kia dealer but the first time they could fit me in was two weeks from now, so I'm wondering if there is anything else I can (safely) try in the meantime.

As a dealership employee (not Kia) and having worked in automotive in general for about 30 years, I'd guess it's a hardware issue that should get a proper diagnosis. I also have a '22 SX and would be frustrated if that was happening to mine! I'd say just wait for the appointment and hopefully they can get it fixed without too much fuss.

Take it back to the dealer. They have techs with the knowledge

Hey there! Yes, this was resolved - I had to get the whole head unit replaced (apparently it was a "lemon"). Now everything works perfectly.

Good to know! I will be taking mine to the dealer shortly for a new head unit I guess.
