Has anyone else had issues with their horn? I bought my car in March 2020 and then horn stopped working in July 2020, so the dealership replaced it. Now January 2021 it is going out again, it only works intermittently and when it does work it's extremely muffled. Literally sounds like it is honking from two roads over...

Will stay in touch with you to see what’s going on my best guess it’s a power control module or body control module
Have had my 2021 SX since May 2020. The horn stopped working just a couple of weeks ago (Feb. 2021). Since I rarely use it, I will wait until my next oil change and have the dealer fix it.
I’ve now lost count of the horn complaint posts between here, Reddit, and the FB group. I haven’t had any problems with mine (aside from the clown car tone they decided on), but this definitely isn’t too rare of an issue.

A handful of people bought aftermarket Hella horns. I don’t remember seeing followups on those projects so I don’t know what the actual issue was to start with.. could be a control module as mentioned above or potentially just bad disc horns. Very curious to find out

I just got my Seltos back from the dealer, they replaced my horn for the second time. I was told it is due to the placement of the horn, it sits under the driver side headlamp and gets wet and/or freezes. They pretty much said next time it goes out I have to contact Kia directly.
Glad i found this post , today my seltos 2022 bought in october 2021 2500 kms driven in snow belt , my horn stop working.Dealer said i have to wait in 2 weeks ...lack of staff blablabla.

Took my meter checked the 2 fuses for horn in motor compatment , both good. Finally read this topic and on esaid the horn is situated blow the head assembly driver side. Hum not easy to reach this baby. Saw it thru the front grill , took a long thin piece of steel to knock it few times gently ....test : good it now works !! monkey dance .Hope it can help some.
You need a small and good flashlight . + hammer + 15 inches rod.

Hiya. I have a 2021 Seltos EX and just had to get the horn replaced at the dealership for the second time. I bought it new two years ago and has around 38K miles. So frustrating!
I have to admit that even after 3 years of ownership I have never sounded my horn. Here in Australia it is illegal to sound it for any other reason than an urgent warning. I have not had occasion. I just tested it - it worked..! (y) :D

Oddly enough I had someone cut into my lane on me yesterday and also blew my horn for the first time. Worked fine. BUT ... I had been listening to Bluetooth, when I blew the horn it switched me into KIA's sounds of nature. And I swear, once in there you can't get out again without turning the car off and on again.

Now that is weird. You know what..? All these funny electrical gremlins suggest to me that good grounding is a bit of an issue, and that a sudden quite high current drain is enough to upset other electricals if the negative grounding is less than perfect. Sound reasonable..?
