Bought my baby back in May of 2021, new off the lot, with just over 350 miles put on it through various test drives. She's now sitting at just under 14,700 miles.

I had been wanting a Soul since they first came out and that's what we originally went to the dealership to look at. The salesman didn't have to twist my wrist too hard to test drive the Seltos instead because it came with AWD instead of FWD (which is a must have during the winters here - and it just really hit this past week).

This is my first new car and I've been babying her as much as I can.

I decided to finally join this morning as I've been lurking here, off and on, over these past few months.

My Seltos isn't without her issues. I've had the random disconnects to my phone with it being plugged in. (Changed cords a few times - it works without issue for a while and then it starts back up.) Just two days ago I experienced the backup camera going in and out and the totally black infotainment screen (chalked it up to it being below freezing and having gotten snow - but I realize this may not be the cause now). Other than that she's been very reliable.

Welcome! Glad you’re enjoying your Seltos. Hopefully those are the only blips you’ll experience and that everything else stays reliable. How has it been handling the winter driving?

So far so good. Engaged the AWD lock mechanism, stopped using the steering assist feature (since sometimes with the snow/ice/salt you can't even see the lines anyways), and just been taking it slow and steady. My MPG average has dropped since engaging AWD, but that is to be expected. Also, I'm using the tires it came with off the lot.

Haven't driven it very far away from home yet, but it's been handling it overall pretty well.

And since I'm still within the 1yr trial of UVO, I've been using the app to remote start it prior to driving it out of the yard. I am very spoiled with this feature.

Hello and welcome from NY, as a potential new owner of a '21 SX Turbo as well! I'm glad I found this forum and seeing what others think and have gone thru with these trucks since getting them. I'm about to pull the trigger on one, but am now obviously debating going thru with it for reasons like you mention with the electronics and transmission issues...
