I talked my mom into a new car…

It was crazy on Saturday, I swear there could have been a fist fight for the vehicles they got in. They actually got two Yellow ones in...an EX and an EX Premium. The Premium was still going through PDI so we actually test drove the EX...which sold as we were driving it...lol.EX Premium. Nice. That was our first choice in color but didn't get it.
Before we went out, they were telling us how two of the four (received the day previous...and not even pre-sold) were already gone and that only the two yellow ones were left. I told my mom that the premium was the way to go because of the extra features, so I threw a $1000 deposit down on it before we even stepped into the EX for the drive. Told them they better not sell it out from under us...lol.
Apparently the yellow EX ended up in a paperwork race between two buyers and one definitely left pretty disappointed...Fortunately I know the dealer (same one I leased mine from) and we didn't have any such issues.
I actually didn't expect her to like the colour because I had shown her a web pic from the build page and she just said she didn't like yellow. As soon as they drove it out in person she was like "That's almost gold, that's so pretty"...nice...well that worked out...
And you can just make out my Grey Seltos right behind mom's in this pic.
And interesting side story...I now technically own two Seltos.
My parents are both 81 and apparently the banks won't finance older people on long term loans (84 months) due to the age and longevity factor (I do get the math and projections on this one, but it does suck). So I ended up having to take out the loan and buy the vehicle myself and then gift it to my mom at SGI. (Saskatchewan Government Insurance, for those who don't know)...the vehicle is now in her name and she's going to make the payments, but they come out of my account and the loan is in my name. Fun...lol
