I'm starting to use Spotify/Pandora/iPhone to listen to music lately rather than the radio. But I'm finding it particularly annoying when I've been listening, then run into a store for a minute, then get back in the car only to have the display show Radio Off. Then I have to go through the whole ritual of Confirming that I'm understanding the safety issues, waiting for my iphone to pair, selecting Media, then choosing Bluetooth, then sometimes have the display show the app's info, but not actually play a dang thing. I have to go back to the phone and go to the app. This doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to tick me off. I just want to get back in the car and have it start playing where I left off immediately. That doesn't seem too much to ask.

Is there some setting I can change to have it just work?

BTW, the only reason I'm using Bluetooth is that this "higher end" 10.25" infotainment system still doesn't have wireless CarPay despite the lower level system with smaller screen having it standard. That to me is even more annoying. But that's for an other thread.

You didn't mention if you took your phone into the store with you. If you did, of course the connection would go away and you'll have to reconnect. Do you leave the car running? If not, same thing. You'll have to reconnect.

How dare you bring logic into the equation!

Boy, do I feel ignorant. Of course you're right. Not sure what I was thinking. I guess this says it all: I'm starting to use Spotify/Pandora/iPhone to listen to music lately rather than the radio. My senile brain was still thinking radio rather than phone.

As you were. And thanks.

Been there done that! LOL
You're not going to believe this but last week I walked into the kitchen and remembered why I went there! I'm on the mend!
