I just received my brand new Kia seltos gt line 2021. On the first attempt to put up the Heads Up Display I had a toll tag drop down into it and now it is jammed. It's a tiny space, but can get the toll tag hooked on a tool however it won't budge to get it out. Very little space between dash and windscreen to maneuver, which is frustrating. The dealership won't cover this under warranty and are quoting $1100 to remove the item, by removing the whole steering wheel, dashboard, the entire thing. Any hacks? Anyone dropped something down there and had luck removing? Any tips on how to remove the clear screen so I can get more room to move there?

I often wonder why they felt the need to overcomplicate it. Is there a reason they feel the need to have it retract? One more expensive part, just have it turn off or on without the expensive retraction mechanism.
