"June Software Updates"

Update: I confirmed with Hyundai Auto Ever that all of these software updates are self-contained. You can skip any one of them and then jump back in at any time in the future. I always got confused about that. I'll still go ahead with this one for grins.
----------------
FYI Someone else mentioned that the dealer installed "June updates" for another problem. I just called Mapnsoft which is now called "Hyundai Auto Ever" at 888 757-0010 and he said, yeah, there is a June update '210617' - 'minor stability and installation changes.' So minor that at update.kia.com there is no description of these changes but if you use the updater tool there, you get the updates. I'll go ahead and do the update soon since my voice navigation commands have died ("no network response") and let you know how it goes. The fellow also said that there should be another update in Sept/Oct as normal...

I did the update this morning and it seems to have solved the "No Network Response" problem I've been having for a week...son of a gun! The actual update on the car took almost an hour! Here are some notes in case your unsure....

Awesome! Glad your voice commands are working again. Did you make those notes yourself? That’s gonna be really helpful for those who aren’t so sure about the process.

Great post
Haha, not so fast. This afternoon getting the 'no network response' message again for voice navigation and also for voice texting which comes in handy. Also tried a pinhole reset on the head unit, that went pretty fast but did not change anything. Grrrrr. Yes I hope those notes help people as it can be confusing.....

So it came back.. shoot. Telluride has a problem with failing modems and I wouldn’t be surprised if the model is the same or at least similar. I wonder if you need to have it replaced?

As far as I know, very few if any of the command responses are stored on-board. It needs to connect to the internet to do just about everything. If you’re not in a dead zone, it’s probably a legitimate comms problem.
Just an update - I talked to UVO support again this morning and they informed me that the Soundhound techs installed a backend 'hot fix' last night. He wanted me to go to Setup / UVO and tap "Reconfigure Modem", and then try again. I tried a couple PTT voice commands and a couple UVO button on ceiling voice commands (I think they both do the same thing) and they all seemed to work! On we go....
But...in the afternoon, back to No Network Response...will try to take to service. Grrrr

Doug, what's this "Grrr" stuff?

I thought you were chilled out about the whole debacle these days?

Perhaps you need a good three-hour session staring at the calming purple wasteland!

Brian
Update. I did some traveling today to another town and had much better signal strength (-50 to -80 range) than where I live and everything I tested seem to work. For some reason we must have a very low signal strength in this area although I'm quite sure that this has worked in the past.... May be much Ado about nothing.
