My question is can you walk away or approach the Seltos sports+ and the doors will either lock or unlock automatically while the Smart Key is in your possession?
Haven't had that happen automatically. Still need to press the black button on the door. The remote start feature from the Smart Key is nice as well. During the summer heat, starting the Seltos from my office and then waling out cools the interior down rather quickly.

Thanks for that. It seems that auto lock and unlock when leaving or returning from the car isn't a feature with the Seltos. You mentioned about starting the car remotely while it was still locked. I have tried that and from what I have read you have to try that within a few seconds of locking the car. Obviously you have started it after more than a few seconds. Perhaps the Australian version is different to the US.

Sometimes I use the key fob. I think the time limit I 5 seconds. Other times I use the app on the phone. The app is preferred since there are settings I can place.

Aus version is no different in that regard. Just press the Lock button on the fob and then, within a few seconds, hold down the Start button until it starts.

Simples.

It should auto unlock in conjunction with pressing the black button on the door, however it does not seem to lock automatically when leaving the car with the keys. Its strange that basic things like this are not in the owners manual.

So I discovered that the doors will auto lock if I wait to long after pressing the unlock button on the Key Fob. Guess Kia wants keep us out of the car!

What app do you have in the US? I tried to register for the Kia Connect and was completely confused and finally just gave up. Maybe you have a different app in the US that works.

If I understand correctly you pressed the unlock button on the fob after you have left the car. If that's what you tried I will give it a go myself. It seems though that you waited a while before it locked. Were you in close range when that happened with the fob in your pocket still? It seems rather stupid if you have to just stand and wait to see if it happens.

It was rather odd. I had pressed the unlock button when getting ready to leave. Took longer than expected to get to the Kia. As was about ten feet away, lights flashed, and doors locked back up.

So it must have opened and then locked again because of the time taken to get to the car.I guess from a security point of view it's good.

We use the standard Kia Access app in the US ("Kia Access") - it's about 40 seconds to lock/start the car etc. Everything from the key fob seems pretty instantaneous. What I don't like is I can't press the lock button in the car by the windows switches etc. when I'm leaving the car - doesn't seem to do anything - have to press the car door button or use the key fob. That seems strange - could have sworn earlier Kia/Hyu cars did that.....

I pressed the unlock button on the fob after I left the car this morning and after around 15 or so seconds the doors automatically locked and lights flashed. :D
i see that it will

i see that it will automatically lock when you walk away only if you haven't actually opened the door by using the black button. I guess that is to stop people accidentally leaving the key fob in the car and walking away. You can test this by locking the car manually and then walk back to the car, the mirrors will unfold, then walk away again and the mirrors will fold again and so forth.
