I bought my new kia seltos last july 2020

since I am work from home now.. I have only put 6k miles on it.
dealership called me to an oil change just in case at 4000k

when should i schedule the next service interval?? at 7.5k miles or wait till

the 5k oil change?
at the rate I am driving at less than 4/5 k a year..
what are my options.?

I think you need to check your Warranty ? I had not done 600 miles when my first "free" service was done, after 4 months.
I will probably drive only 2000 miles in my first year.
But I remember being told that you must have your car serviced when listed, even if you are not going far.
Could upset your Warranty if you ignore their Rules ?
Ask you Dealer anyway.

If there is is FULL SYNTHETIC in your vehicle now, and I am sure there is, then 6000 should be good. What does your "in car setting" say?

I have had my SX just over a year (may 2020) and am not a high mileage driver, maybe 6-7k per year. I ignore the dealer notices and just take it for a checkup and an oil change every 6 months. Probably overkill, but I am comfortable with that. I did some extra driving this Spring and noticed that once I hit 9k, the car itself told me that it was time for service, so I am assuming that 9k is the recommended interval.

It is whatever your interval is set at. Check it in your dash computer readings

Not really.I have owned 5 turbos and they all took synthetic and I read an article the the Seltos turbo does take the same,
Well I have used synthetic for the past 15 years in my vehicles. This is the first turbo I have had and when found out that it had synthetic in it, I thought they finally got smart

Yes,you can use synthetic in cars that call for conventional oil.Turbos require synthetic oil because of the oiling needs of the turbo's bearings etc..Conventional oil just doesn't cut it in a turbo.
