The Kia Seltos is all but confirmed for the U.S. as of June 2019 but that should change before 2019 is over. Let me explain...
First, a trademark was filed in the U.S. for the name 'SELTOS' by the owner 'KIA MOTORS CORPORATION' months ahead of its India reveal. If you wish to confirm this with the USPTO, details of the accepted and active trademark filing have been included. Nothing else directly from Kia about U.S. market Seltos can be found at the moment but I'll keep this thread updated if anything shows up.
Kia Seltos Trademark Information
A not so obvious fact is its very similar to the 2020 Hyundai Venue because like many other Kia/Hyundai products, it is, by a lot. Its actually confirmed for the U.S. and has been my default choice till this news broke of the Seltos. Both share a platform derived from the Hyundai Creta which helps to reduce the cost of bringing these to market. Also the Kia dealers i've been visiting are super eager to sell these and are very confident it will arrive!
