Finally reached customer support. I now have to go to www.mapnsoft.com to get my update ordered or downloaded. Still could not login as my user info, however, was able to go in as "guest" and download. Will install today. Looks like added color scheme, better route choices, and when using voice in nav, selections are shown on right screen.
May 2023 Nav update download
Is anyone else having trouble getting into the navigation update system for the May 2023 update?
System tells me there is an error, using my account name and password. Has work for years, no change.

This will be my first update and hopefully it will be OTA Via KIA Connect Ultimate.
I just called the dealership and was told it could cost about 800 to get an update. Is this true???
In the US, the updates are free. I thought the updates were free world wide.

Yes, they are. To charge 800 bucks for an update is pure scam, in my view. Don't go there. Do it yourself, (there's a detailed 'how to' on the site somewhere), or go to a different dealer.In the US, the updates are free. I thought the updates were free world wide.
Yeah, no way 800. I'm guessing there may have been a miscommunication somewhere. Who is your dealer? I could see them charging time for labor maybe. A 100 bucks would be a rip-off.

I had my screen replaced under warranty and just wonder if he quoted $800 for that entire screen replacement? Needless to say, but software update takes about 1 hr, so in worse case they might try to charge that time but as someone said above, $100 should be a max.

In Canada anyway, we all get three years of Ultimate included. At least I did, maybe its trim specific. I found no way to update over the air. I chose to update and it prompted me to check my media. Meaning the USB drive. Can you confirm its different for you Turtle.
That is my understanding. I only got one year free of Ultimate. From what I have read the screen should prompt you when an OTA update is ready. And then you choose to update at your convenience. However, I don’t know when KIA will push this update out for the OTA users. I will give it a couple of weeks and then I will call KIA Connect services to find out the timeframe.

Has anybody been able to download from the Navigation Updater lately? Get a system error as myself or guest.
Hmm, now I see that 2022 Seltos is not listed for an available update. Tried some other model and it would start to download. Very odd.... OTA doesn't work, does it?
Yep, I don’t see any Seltos years listed on available list.
Now why would they leave out the Seltos, that seems to be why the app says "Not Available" ???

Software was downloaded May 3 from 'update.kia.com' with no need to log into anything. Where are you grabbing your software from that you need to login?
That being said, when I downloaded that software it was because everyone mentioned the update. On the 3rd it did not show 2024 and 2022-23, it showed like last year only 2021 and 2022. That change for me wasn't reflected till sometime between the 3rd and 10th.
On the third I downloaded the 2022 as I did last year, when I went to the car it told me I was already up to date (November 15 Update I believe) so you can imagine my annoyance after a 30GB download. Grrrr. I'll try again now that the software reflects the changes but it would be nice if the software reflected the version being downloaded to avoid this in the future.
Why some of us are getting the update before others I have NO idea.
