Had zero luck buying what was on the lot. Went to 6 dealerships, some multiple times. There was never an SX on the lot. Even if I did catch a non-SX Seltos, the dealer wanted $5k over sticker. Nope. Thanks, but no thanks. lol Took me about 4 months from when I first started seriously looking to purchase.
I guess since I'm on the subject, I paid $29,621 + $254 in dealer fees + $1,520 in sales tax/plate/title.
I just bought a 23 SX. Sounds like the same situation. Put my name on a list. When the dealer gets notification of allocation of the vehicle, they called me. I come down and do the paperwork. About 3 weeks later, the vehicle arrives and I come in and pick it up.

That US/Aus dollar difference sure does make a difference all right. I bought my Seltos GT-line (=SX) exactly 3 years ago and it was $A41,990 drive away, no more to pay. But worth every cent..!
