Guess I was lucky in Canada. I picked up my 2023 Seltos EX Primium and it came with 2 working fobs.
mine was a mom and pop operation and i got two when i bought mine jan 31stHave wondered if the bigger dealerships got two and the “mom and pop” dealerships received only one?
I just got off the phone with my local dealer service dept. They have no clue what's going on. After they talk to their regional rep. they will call me back.I got the same letter. You have to call the Service Department, & yes, they have to order it. Mine only took 2 days to come in. Then you have to make an appointment to come in with your current fob & the little funky key they gave you as your "2nd key." Some dealerships are just getting directives from Kia that, yes, they have to order it, it will not automatically be sent. Good luck!!
What doesn't make sense is corporate not keeping dealerships in the loop. I just got off the phone with my salesman who pretty much just told me the same thing the service department told me earlier. They have a regional service rep coming in later today and they will try to get more information from them then. It's messed up.When you think about it, it makes sense.
I'm not angered toward Kia. The breakdown is most likely at the dealership, though my sales agent says it happens to him all the time where corporate forwards info to the customer, but it never gets to him. I'm not sure how much of that to believe and in the end I don't really care. I care only that I've been told one thing and something else is true and I paid for a product I have not yet received. To clarify, not annoyed with Evil. Just annoyed at the general anger toward KIA/Hyundai.
