NZ Seltos LX 2021 Infotainment update

Hi all

I am experiencing the known intermittent "lost connection" events with CarPlay and an iPhone 12 Max Pro (iOS 15.x) that has been raised here by others. They happen every 20 or so mins and iTunes still streams music fine and I simply need to acknowledge the error and select the CarPlay icon again to revert back to the split screen view showing itunes and Maps. This happens in wireless connection mode (with the iPhone placed close by in the centre console storage pocket) or with a USB cable connected, although I'm not sure if that only provides phone charging. I have tried removing and re-pairing the iphone. Annoying but not a showstopper. I'm hoping to find a mate with a different iPhone model or Android to see if that also gives an error.

My question is I cannot find an appropriate update in the navigation updater app - can anyone advise? My head unit shows a model version that is not recognised when I start to enter it in the search field and the two available versions for my model year (2021) of car look quite different, so I'm reluctant to try these given there's no obvious way to downgrade and revert back to the previous version. Also I don't want to migrate to a purple version on screen layout that others seem to have ended up with. The dashboard photo is my current infotainment version and the screen shot is the navigator updater app showing the only available updates. I cannot find my current version listed under the 3 Seltos year categories that come up when searching with car model in the other search option field rather than infotainment model.

So I'm keen to hear from any other NZ owners of the base LX model, which I'm guessing is really an Au variant, who have the same issue and resolved it via either the two available Au updates without inheriting a purple haze :)

Thanks

Jeffrey

I don't know. Most of us Discussing this topic on the forum seem to be the 10.25 inch screen users which is the only trim level in the US that has maps, and I thought the only one you could/would update...? Have you called Hyundai Ever (the old Mapnsoft) at 888 757-0010 ?

Hi Jeffrey,
I have the Limited model and I presume that you being in New Zealand would have a full warranty with free services, parts and labor for a number of years or a set mileage, if so your update can be done free of charge through your local dealership but if your infotainment centre talks to you, for example, tells you the road narrows, or rail crossings, sharp bends ahead etc: and you want to keep these features "Don't update" as you will lose them curtesy of Korea and Australia.
