I've used catch cans in the past, and I would not recommend them. You have to understand what they actually do vs. what you want them to do. They don't eliminate blowback, they just slow it down. The main question is: how fast does it build up to where it actually affects performance/efficiency? Based on my experience, it's extremely slow in modern cars. To me, it's easier to just treat the intake with CRC GDI intake cleaner every 10k miles or so. It costs about $12 for a can, and you're not introducing any risk into the system (because you're not installing a 3rd party component).

Yeah I’ve never had a GDI car before so I never looked into these kinds of stuff but I’ll look into that too. Thanks.
