I personally don't want the car to shut off at stoplights etc. so I turn that feature off every time I start the car. At the same time I turn on Auto Hold. I wish I had the opportunity to make my preferences the default when I start the car instead of having to turn them off/on each time. Not a big deal, but that would be on my wish list.

Speed has it right. We're up in Canada I've had to use defrost like twice this year and it was pretty mild fogging when having four in the car with me. You likely have your air recirculating.

Unless you like huffing your own farts and fogging your windows.

Heated side mirrors are linked to the rear defroster if equipped.

Edit: Actually, I've never actually tested them. But in my previous cars, there wasn't a 'defrost mirrors' button, they just came on when rear defrost was set.
