Does anybody know if the Parking Distance Warning system &the Homelink auto-dimming rear view mirror can be retrofitted and work on a Seltos that didn't come with it??? Figured I ask here heiress consulting the dealer about it...

It a 2 things I'm upset the truck didn't come with, for a supposed fully loaded model...

I don't know but none of the Seltos's come with the parking distance warnings (greyed out in Settings) but the SX comes with the auto dimming mirror.....

Homelink can be installed. My dealer is charging $450.00. Only $300 when it comes as an option.

if you have uvo, no there is a wiring issue to put in a homelink dimming mirror. We finally gave up and put the remote just behind mirror velcro'd on the flat plastic.

As it turns out, it appears to be an option on any trim level for '22 model year trucks, maybe even late '21. The owners manual I downloaded online is for '21, and it mentions and explains the system in there...

Wow... Im kinda surprised at and by that... My '12 Buick Regal had it, and it kinda sucks not having it on the Seltos - especially for what's supposed to be a "fully loaded" model...

I think I'm more shocked at the truck not having both front seats 8-way powered either...

Hahahaha!! Every GM vehicle I've had since I started driving has had dual power front seats, and the Regal was the first one I've had thay had the parking distance warning system to it... And a lot of newer GM's - even at the price points - are coming with those things now... I got out from the GM stuff because I dont like the newer features and the new designs are hideous abominations - especially for the price they want for them...

I was upset that the Regal didn't have the backup camera, so I guess I'm getting the trade-off between the Regal and the Seltos...

Yeah, I've had Hyundai/Kia exclusively since 2002 and have had good luck overall. The styling seems to make more sense to me and the technical features are very intriguing. I don't like all the problems with fires, engines and transmissions that you hear about on the various forums that I keep an eye on, but then a lot of manufacturers have had problems. My biggest complaint with the Seltos SX Turbo is road noise for long trips which is the main thing we use it for, to go from CO to WA to see the grandkids....but till that GV70 shows up at my door, we're thankful for what we have.... I hear ya with the whole thing of every manufacturer having thier share of issues... most of the GM's I've had were always transmission issues with either the 700R4/4L60 (S10 Blazer, Typhoon) or the 4T65E HD ('07 Impala SS w/ the 5.3L LS4 V8...).

And yeah, I can see where the road noise would be an issue for many. But I'm in a zer-turn swing Radius Cat excavator with the engine directly behind me all day long, so the road noise isn't that big of a deal for me... And it's still better than the road noise in the newest Malibu I had as a rental...
