Plastic on top of steering wheel too shiny

1021 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Steve
The plastic on the top of the steering wheel column is too shiny, and i am often getting blinded while driving to work in the mornings. Do you guys have any tips or tricks for giving that area a matte style finish to reduce the glare?

Maybe the drinking has something to do with it, but I haven't had any problem here in sunny California...

Something like this might help
I have also never had an issue with a reflection off of this plastic...probably has something to do with your relative seating position. Do you sit really close over the steering wheel?

Welcome aboard btw...

fixed the typo haha thanks
After thinking about the problem I figured that the angle of your sitting position as it coincides with the angle of the sun and the angle of the
steering wheel that all you got to do is change one aspect and the sun isn't gonna change much (at least day to day) so either you move your
position or tilt the wheel??? The glossy finish is just to pretty to mess with in my opinion... Maybe another drink will fix it???
