Does anyone know that the Seltos will have a Retractable Cargo Cover? The rear windows are not tinted much and anyone can clearly see what your carrying. I inquired about obtaining one, but the dealership has no idea or they haven't come up with one yet. Would anyone know?

you can always get heavy tint put on the rear windows.

On any brand new model it can take a long time before many accessories are available - aftermarket suppliers have to know how well it's going to sell first.

I don't know what they will have in the future, but the SX is the only one with a cargo cover . It is rigid and not retractable. I don't see anyplace where a cargo cover would hook up in the other levels because there are no tracks to support it as in the SX.....or any place where a retractable cover would click in.

If KIA doesn't have it for the S, then hopefully an aftermarket would work. With the SX do you get it with the car? I've been contacting everywhere and KIA says they just aren't any yet.

Yes, you get it with the SX. It has supports molded into the side panels. Other trims do not have those integrated supports so you couldn't just buy the rigid cargo cover and lay it in.

My Seltos GT came with a Parcel shelf that raises as you raise the boot lid (if that make sense) it covers the entire rear cargo area.

Australian buyer here btw.

Thanks for letting me know, not sure if the GT is the same as US SX, but seems like I may be out of luck in getting one, since I have the S model.

So glad that you raise this. I will now follow this posting. I too was looking to purchase the same item within the first day of getting my vehicle when I realized it didn’t come with it. Hoping that there is someway to MacGyver a rear cargo cover and that one is made by someone sooner rather than later. It is a great vehicle but it seems to me that this item even if you have to purchase it separately is a necessity not a frivolous extra.

I agree. I'm sure there will be a third party to purchase it from.

My SX came with the rigid cover. It can also be removed to allow larger items to be placed in the back.

LOL! i don't know if you read my previous posts, but I took my S to it's first oil change. Since I was the dealership first Seltos sale, they only one they had was the S model. I really wanted the SX turbo, so while i was waiting, they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. So I left with a SX turbo. By they way they didn't charge me for the oil change.

I'm the model down from your SX with a Seltos EX. Only the SX has the ledge that is necessary to allow that style cargo cover to work. That ledge is part of the interior moulding of the cargo area and only exists in the SX. So, happy with my EX, here is how I have taken care of my no cargo cover problem with this Seltos Cargo Cover retractable cover on eBay.
Please note that you can make an offer for the price shown being asked. I have not been able to find a Seltos cargo cover anyplace else and so for those who are still looking, this may be an answer.

I'm assuming you had to screw the mounting into the inside of the car, correct, since there's nowhere to add the cargo cover?

Yes, that is correct. There is a holder on each side of the cargo area that goes in back of the rear seat where you place the roll. There at the cargo door there is a hook on each side into which the roll connects in the slot that is part of the roll. This is not a hard-shell cover so it is not designed to place anything on top of. You can also take it out of the holder so that it is not in the way if you want unobstructed space. I have been very happy with the cover I purchased from eBay and it has done an adequate job for me.
I had tried to purchase a hard-shell with no luck; it is like the one that comes in the one model that comes with a cargo cover. If you know someone in India, here is another option Hardshell Cargo Cover . Unfortunately, they do not ship out of the country.
Please let me know if you have other questions.

I have the S model so it seems like you have to get one with the actual holders to screw into the inside of the car. I have a Subaru Forester so I know how they work. I saw a video of a guy doing just that.

Is that what you did or did you buy a model that already had the holders?

Let me add this for you to see exactly what I mean about the installation of the cargo cover in a model less than an SX.

Yes, exactly what you see in the video is that I did in my EX. The cover came with the front and back pieces that I screwed into the sides of the cargo area.

Thank you so much! This is great. Of course, you better be sure you're drilling holes in your brand new car in the right spot! : )
