Mexico has announced presales.
And I found this interesting on where they will be getting their cars......

"The KIA Seltos will be imported to Mexico from the new facilities of the Korean firm in India. Once its launch takes place, we will announce all the details of equipment, mechanical specifications and prices."

Well after a full weekend and a few work days, I can say this car is great for me. To be fair I was driving and old pickup truck so probably any SUV would have made me say that. However I am really enjoying the experience and attention I get. I find my self looking for excuses to go out now, when previously I just rather stay at home.

That's really interesting that they're getting Indian built Seltos' I wonder why Kia is doing that? I thought for sure the Indian plant would be too busy trying to meet the demand in India.
I think the main reason is that the Indian version is more for developing countries. Slightly cheaper than the Korean version on all models, cutting down cost by using smaller motors, more hard plastic and in some cases less features. But hey I'm not complaining, this price point was perfect for my economy. I think it was a smart choice from Kia Mexico.
