I have the 1.6 Turbo with the DCT - this engine and transmission have been around for years and is in several Hyundai / Kia cars - so I feel it is probably pretty reliable. The DCT takes a bit to get used to, but it is worth it. I LOVE my Seltos. The power and response is amazing.

@GeoCanada - would have to agree. Although the DCT takes a bit of getting used to, the drive modes make it worth it. For cruising leave itinerary SMART but when you need some get up and go SPORT mode is perfect. At low speeds the DCT takes some getting used to. kinda reminds me of a manual transmission when you let the clutch out to soon and the car judders a bit. Doesn't happen all the time though.

Actually, you can leave it at SMART. I have the SX Turbo with the 1.6 DCT. If I want to get up and go from a stop, I just push the pedal a little bit down then it changes the Drive Mode to SPORT. Then when it has attained its speed, it goes down to NORMAL then back to SMART. So, I leave it at SMART all the time.
