Noticed I could not do this reset - keep getting message below... Talked to a Kia tech on the Soul Forum and he gave me some instr to have the dealer make this "user mode" so that we COULD reset the reminders ourselves (like the manual says). So when it went in for alignment at the dealer today I requested that. It wasn't as easy as the Kia tech on the forum told me (I gave them his notes). Here is what today's tech wrote on the ticket: "Attempted to reset thru the cluster and it would not. Connected KDS and scanned for codes, none found. Went into cluster module to reset it there, but the setting changes would not show up on display. Performed a capacitance discharge procedure to clear any corrupted sw issues. This fixed the problem and can now rest the maintenance reminder." So....the svc writer came out to the car and we can indeed set/rest the # miles/days for these maintenance reminder...which is good since I do NOT have the dealer to the 6K, 12K etc. normal maintenance and pay through the nose! The alignment went smoothly and they gave me the normal before and after pictures....

A reset I can understand, but are you saying it lets you change the interval value? I've never seen that before...

Yes indeed, Kia at your service.... Here are some shots. Notice you set the miles in hundreds of miles and the time in months. You'll see my miles/days counting down since I reset them yesterday - I reset them again to 6000 miles/6 months below. OF COURSE.....you can just elect to turn the whole bloody thing off by unchecking "Enable Service Interval"!!!

'22 SX Turbo. I, too, had no access to reset and adjust the service interval advisory system. Connected with the right guy at the local Kia dealership and gained access as described in the owner's manual. Here's how he did it:
1. The tech connected his onboard diagnostics (OBD2) module under the driver's side dash and accessed the car through his Kia maintenance support tablet computer.
2. Tech entered the Kia tablet's software (S/W) update heading to modify the service interval. The second page of that section offered the option for access by either Customer or Dealer Only. Flipped the selector to Customer and I was good to go. No charge to me for the 5-10 minutes dealer shop effort needed to make the annoyance go away.

Of course, the car should have been delivered with the Customer option pre-set, IMO.

Now I or my local service garage can reset and even adjust service intervals and flags as noted above by Dougt.
