I wish KIA or Hyundai would list the minimum capacity jump drive needed to download the update. I eventually purchased a 256gb jump drive which worked. After 2 hours of sitting in my car, waiting for it to complete, I was Extremely UnHappy with the results. The most current update changed all my screen settings.
- The new home screen is Awful. My previous screen had a splendid 3-way divided screen, showing Nav, Radio Station (clearly the logo, station, very easy to see) and Weather shown in bold, nice look very easy to see. Latest update changed it to a Dark Purple Mess. Right side of screen in very faint is the Nav, Very Hard to See. On the left is the Temp, very small, weather very small and only the radio station, no graphics at all. I wish someone could tell me how I can customize the home screen.
- All the Icons changed color, to a blue/purple darker color. Harder to see.
- Radio button, shows a dumb looking old time tubes and no Station graphics NOT GOOD!
- Navigation show a better resolution, but the side icons aren't there you have to touch the NAV screen and it rolls down. Harder to do while driving! You end up tapping your finger twice to change a function, such as zoom etc. I'm hoping I missed something to lock it in place. NOT GOOD!
**Please see the additional photo of what I had previously. The difference between an Crystal Clear (3) page window and that Purple (Inactive) screen it now shows.
I now have to sit through and reset all the setting preferences AGAIN. It claims it retains them, but mostly their changes or modified.
One of my Biggest Complaints with the previous system, was the Terrible Dobbler Radar. It was quite useless for me. I was hoping they would fix/update it. .........NO! That they didn't change. The Dobbler radar that only scrolls North and South and My home town is too far west off the screen!
"I wish I didn't upgrade it", just wasn't worth it! I'll post some photos of it soon.
