I didn't realize this but it seems that the Seltos won't be offered with all-wheel drive in India. I came across this exchange on Twitter with an Indian Journalist and this article that talks about the India-spec Seltos not getting the all-wheel drive system offered in the "global version." Which I hope means that Kia is planning on offering the Seltos worldwide.

The Seltos also comes with three drive modes: Normal, Eco and Sport. There are three traction modes - Mud, Snow/Wet, and Sand - as well for those rare off-road adventures. Sadly, the India-spec Seltos doesn’t get the all-wheel drive system that is offered in the global version.

India doesn't exactly need it. Conditions their are highly favorable to do without.
Neither would it benefit them to include it to make the Seltos more attractive.

Can't say I'm surprised either. I guess we'll have to follow the Korean version to see how the all-wheel drive version handles.

Not much of a demand for 4WD in India because weather conditions don't call for it. 4WD vehicles is a niche market mainly for off-roaders etc.

Yeah I realized that looking more into models they get.
Often its higher end vehicles that already come standard with AWD that they get.
