Transmission Cruise control RPM revving

We have a 2021 Kia Seltos with the 2.0L and the IVT transmission. We have less than 1000 miles on our car and think we are having transmission issues. When the car is on cruise control the RPM gauge fluctuates as if trying to find the top “gear”. Going about 75 miles an hour the RPM gauge fluctuates between 2500 RPM and 4300 RPM continually when faced with any sort of inclined no matter how small. When the cruise control is not on, this fluctuation of the RPM gauge does not happen.

Nothing to do with cruise control but at idle my Seltos idles rough and fluctuates between 700-750 then down to 500 then after a second or so back up to the previous numbers. Also while driving I can feel the car surging at different times.
I have an sx trim with a DCT. I experienced similar problems. Rpm would fluctuate when I pressed the gas. It would shoot up to 4000 then back down to 1500-2000. It also took a little longer than normal to get up to 110km on the highway. However this occurred when we had temps at -40°c (-40°f) and then once more at -30°c (-22°f). So we had extreme cold temperatures here not sure what your area is like.
My initial thought was transmission as well. Took it in, they test drive it but could not recreate my issue. They checked everything/ scanned for codes and found a "cylinder misfire pending" code. They said they opened it up, spark plug looked good but they swapped out an ignition coil.
hopefully this offers some insight. Take care.

Sounds very similar to the way ours acted before quitting us.
So a long story short, the dealership ended up taking the car back and giving us an upgrade to the EX model. They ended up replacing the transmission or will in the near future. We were assured there is no problem with the IVT transmission and still have complete confidence in Kia.

If I am driving in the Smart mode the same thing happens. I usually drive in the manual mode

I have had the exact same issues with my Seltos and cruise control. Have you noticed that it doesn't happen when you are in normal mode?
