Also, I should mention I hope you get your rig soon...I was talking with the sales guys when I picked mine up the other day and I guess they're looking at 8 month plus wait times on pretty much everything that gets ordered now...crazy.Hey everyone, our seltos should be here shortly. Looking to pick up some all weather mats that work when the trunk floor is in the lowered position. Know of any? Thanks!
What's your goal for the all-weather mat? Is it just to protect your factory floor from casual wear and tear? Or are you actually putting wet muddy stuff back in there? My last car I had a dog. I didn't want her trashing the factory floor. So I went out and picked up a floor mat. That carpeted kind that you get for in front of the door to the house (inside not outside). Get the kind with the rubber non-slip backing. Buy it larger than you need it. Then lay it out, trace your factory floor with a marker and cut the shape out. Has to have the rubberized non-slip backing or it'll fall apart. But you'll be surprised how well it holds up over time. Perfect for casual protection. May not be perfect for those wet and muddy messes.Hey everyone, our seltos should be here shortly. Looking to pick up some all weather mats that work when the trunk floor is in the lowered position. Yeah eh?! I too am keeping my fingers crossed that I got the call soon. Hopefully next week! How has it been driving? We're upgrading from a 2009 Pontiac g3 wave so its going to be quite the change. Also, I should mention I hope you get your rig soon...I was talking with the sales guys when I picked mine up the other day and I guess they're looking at 8 month plus wait times on pretty much everything that gets ordered now...crazy.
Found an exact fit one on Amazon!Hey everyone, our seltos should be here shortly. Looking to pick up some all weather mats that work when the trunk floor is in the lowered position. Know of any? Thanks!
I'm curious as to what you mean by the lowered position. Do all models have a "lower" option? Or is it something where you've removed the original floor mat, and items under? Such as the spare tire, I'm assuming. If not the former, that's a unique feature I wasn't aware of on the Seltos!Hey everyone, our seltos should be here shortly. This is awesome! Thank you!All Seltos should have a two level load floor.
If you pull your cover out you can slide it back in on the lower guides. (puts it just above the spare tire and drops it about 5 or 6 inches)
Thx for the reply. Im looking for the type sold there on Amazon since Im heading to winter and all the snow needs to he contained jejeje. I do surfing as well so I need to keep water out of wetsuits contained as wellNot exactly what you're looking for but the price is right. Scroll down to the third post. That's where I detailed purchasing a carpeted floor mat with a rubberized backing and cutting it to shape. Not as liquid catching as say one of the Weathertech jobs, but will protect your factory floor from scuffs and scraps. And there is the rubber backing so there's some spill protection there.
The mat cost me about $16 bucks CDN (so $11 USD?). Was able to cut it cleanly with a good pair of scissors.

Here's a picture. You can see the factory floor at the top, and the carpeted mat over top of a plywood lower floor. Get lucky with the color and it looks pretty much factory.

I used this process for years in my old Suzuki Aerio when I had a large dog. The mats would wear from her claws and I'd replace them every couple of years but the factory floor remained clean as can be.
Interersting subject. Here in Australia, where the coutry roads are...well...let's just say, not so good, the fitting of a full sized spare is virtually standard across the Seltos range. However, where a space-saver temporary wheel, or no spare at all, just a repair kit in some countries, the extra space can be utilised by the ability to drop the cargo space, (in a car we call it the boot - y'all call it the trunk), down to a lower level as Speedtek, describes elsewhere. However, I was able to just purchase a rubber type fitted cargo mat with a raised lip, which prevents anything spilt from escaping, from the Kia parts department - like with the interior carpets and, I'm sure, the cargo cover. Are these fairly common and standard extra parts not available in North America..? The cargo mat I got has a flexible section, which I'm sure is designed to lie flat, and accommodate the slightly wider space, if fitted to a vehicle where the cargo floor has been lowered to the second position. This should surely be able to be ordered over there at least, rather than trying to come up with home made alternatives..?All Seltos should have a two level load floor.
