I want one…. It looks more SUV like than the Sportage and I am hoping we will see a 4x4 variant similar to the one shown as an off road SUV in the video section. My husband has a Sorento SXL but I want something a little smaller, but larger than the Sportage. I also want one fully loaded with all the tech goodies (lane keeping, auto braking, 360 parking assist, a heads up display), and it really must have ventilated front seats like the Sorento because it is hot in Arizona in the summer!!! When can I pick it up?
Which customer is Kia targeting with the Seltos?
While the Kia Seltos was designed with the Indian car market with its size and styling, I think it will have a mass appeal for different markets as well, particularly in North America. The SUV craze is thriving in North America as more companies are switching to SUVs and crossovers rather than sedans and the Seltos will fit nicely in Kia's American lineup.
I think based on its styling, the main demographic of car owners will be millennials who want to experience the feeling of a SUV without breaking the bank. It also could be a hit with people who have young families and are looking for something to handle all of their things. As someone who is considered a Millennial, it certainly has caught my attention. What does everyone else think? For those of you who are interested in the Seltos, why does it appeal to you?

Unfortunately Kia hasn't made any announcements about if or when the Seltos will be sold in North America. So far it's only going on sale in South Korea and India. I think it's only a matter of time before they expand Seltos sales and production, when they do I think it will garner a lot of interest in the United States/Canada.I want one…. I believe they showed this car at the NY auto show as a concept but indicated that it would most likely show up as a 2020... I hope this does happen because the Seltos looks much better than the competition out there right now.
So I checked out Kia's site and it turns out the U.S. market version is called a Seltos.
I'm a boomer and looked at the Subaru Forester but styling was bland, till I saw the New Seltos. It's perfect for me, AWD in CT here, small SUV but room for everything I need. Good performance and good gas mileage, and very NICE styling. I got the SX Turbos with the Bose system.
