Just a general question, is it even possible, with the current head-unit (2021-2022 MY), for Kia to send out an OS update to enable Wireless AA. It seems odd if all that is need is an OS update that Kia just doesn't do it
So, in effect, our (those of us who have) Carlink.3s, provide the missing wireless interface between the phone and the CarPlay that the large screen units lack, but the small screen units have. It is odd, and I suspect will be fixed in later models, but at least it is a good workaround. How has a new battery affected your powering up on a cold morning Speed..? All fixed..?The large screen units do not have wireless, only the smaller screen head units do.
Short answer…no.
I actually never made it over to Kia, we were at an AirBnB with all the family for Xmas and the last day my dad had a seizure and a stroke so with all the craziness going on we have been a little busy the last few days. How has a new battery affected your powering up on a cold morning Speed..? Sorry to hear about your dad's health issues. Yes, car will be ok, but that battery has to go. Any battery specialist outlet should be able to provide it though, and the battery is probably covered under a separate battery warranty anyway, I suspect the Kia car warranty would not, because they are not made by them, and are notoriously vulnerable to damage/failure from many causes, so looked on a bit like brake disc pads etc, I suspect. That is, looked on as a 'wear and tear' item..?I actually never made it over to Kia, we were at an AirBnB with all the family for Xmas and the last day my dad had a seizure and a stroke so with all the craziness going on we have been a little busy the last few days.
I head out to Mazatlan for a month next week so I'll probably just wait until I get back. The car is in heated underground parking so it will be fine while I'm gone (I will unplug the Carlinkit though)
