I brought my 2021 Kia Seltos S Turbo into the dealership for an oil change and they did a couple updates to the software in the car. I wasn’t expecting anything too drastic but when I got out of the dealership to drive home I was wondering why my iPhone wasn’t automatically connecting via Apple CarPlay when I plugged it in via lightning cable which it usually does. I navigated through some of the menu options and found that the car now has wireless Apple CarPlay!!!! It has no issues connecting and connects every time I get in the car. I’m so pumped about this as I was really bummed a car so new didn’t have wireless Apple CarPlay and now it does!

Did anyone else find this surprising? I can’t find any notes or information about this online either. I would think people would be talking about this

Checked all these setting and still no luck 😕. Wonder what did they installed on your car. My last sercice they did software update for DCT but nothing mention about wireless Car Play. I can play music from phone without wires but that's about it.

Very interesting, as there is no mention of wireless CarPlay in any of the release notes - at this is the first I’m hearing of it on the 10” screen. The smaller screen has it for some reason though.

My S model had wireless Carplay/Android Auto prior to the latest software update.

there are licensing issue with 10.2 inch screen but all 8 inch should have wireless?

All 8inch screens can have it, not sure if it is included in all models with that screen.

Just wondering- your info shows you in US, correct? So this is a US car bought at a US dealership? If so I'm getting mine in for that update!

Only got the car on Sunday and realized the same when we quickly checked out some features. Project with a cable 😐.

I was told by mapnsoft that the 11/8 sw update was for cars with navigation. My S model does not have navigation. Disappointing. I used an exFAT 64GB USB and dowloaded the Standard-class Gen 5W the updater software prompted. update. Plugged it in and saw "No supported files". Was going to try the Gen 5 but requires and SD card slot. Anyone have one of those? I don't see it.

Sadly I brought mine in for oil change. They said they rotated tires. But did not; as I have scratch on wheel in same place! I asked about Kia gps update. Was told I had to call there 800# of course they say bring to dealership
Dyer Kia does not seem up on their 2022 cars!

guys i found a way to add wireless android auto or car play to kia seltos and other kia models, i made a video, follow it, very simple, ive already done it
